Strikethrough isn’t in the original Markdown. It comes from GitHub Flavored Markdown, so it works on GitHub, Slack, Discord, Notion and most modern editors — but not every renderer.

Mix it with bold or italic

You can nest it. Wrap bold text in two tildes and it strikes and bolds at once.
